I've used Velocity Mechanical ever since moving into my current home 8 yers ago. They installed my water softener and air conditioner, and have done repairs on my water heater and AC. I'd like to explain why I use Velocity. When I was tendering my AC unit install, Velocity was the only local company that I talked to that adequatly assessed my property and the BTU requirements. I insisted that everyone else around me had a larger unit. Velocity, even though would more than likely have made more money by installing a larger unit, insisted that they size it properly otherwise the system wouldn't function how it was intended. Matthew educated me on why he recommended what he did, and cautioned against going with an oversized unit. Ever since then there have been several engagements where he has givent me strong up-front solutions rather than focussing on selling me more than I need. 10/5 stars. This review is long over due, but extremely necessary. A few months ago when winter hit, our furnace was frozen. Velocity Mechanical Solutions came to our apartment's aid immediately as we had reptiles that needed to be kept warm. He even provided them with a heater until our furnace was thawed. Thank you for your team's prompt and courteous work. They were very friendly and knowledgeable when here in my home and certainly did a very professional job. We discovered that the tear in the intake was likely caused during installation over 20 years ago, so the previous HRV was drawing fresh air in from the mechanical room this entire time! I now have sufficient air movement in one of my upstairs bathrooms that I no longer need to worry about moisture accumulation; this HRV really SUCKS (in a good way). ... see more

If I was to guess, most if not all the Google reviews are from family and friends. That would be the only explanation for all the 5 stars. They charged for time they were not even at my property. I was told there is a convenience fee as well. Material fee, makes sense although quite pricy. I am all for paying for service/product I receive, but that did not happen with Velocity. I do have to say they were professional and knowledgeable. There are plenty of businesses out there, so I don't suggest using Velocity for the reason of their hidden costs. ... see more

Very nice people from reception, to estimator, to technicians doing the work. They addressed a sizable repair to my older house with ease. They did a bid, confirmed a schedule and did the job. Dealt with Matt on phone as I was needing some disconnection done as mobile home is being moved. His took care of the electrical side, and main disconnect for sewer, water, gas lines. Had an air conditioning unit installed this year and it was a great experience working with Velocity, from the office scheduling to the workers on site everyone was extremely professional and timely. Matt would respond to my emails/phone calls almost immediately. A/C unit was installed promptly and at a very reasonable price. I was new to Regina and wanted to heat my garage, which required running the gas all the way to the garage and installing a gas heater. Velocity was recommended by a close contractor friend. Being told how neat of an install was done updating the plumbing in his old character house. Matt came and gave me a reasonable quote. Matt was great to deal with. Their response times and on site install services were completed in a timely manner and delivered as promised. We had 2 A/C units installed in 2 houses a short distance apart in a rural community. We were pleased they had no issues leaving Regina city limits. The incorrect thermostat was disconnected at one house (we forgot to label them ahead of time) and Matt had the electrician back to rectify the problem within hours. Velocity did the disconnection and reconnection of my air conditioning unit, in relation to a foundation underpinning job I had done to my house, as well as an upgrade to house suspended brackets, so the unit no longer sits on the ground. These guys were prompt and professional in getting the job done, and left the air conditioners connections in a very clean and orderly state. They were a little late coming out for the reconnect, but I was updated, and found out it was to fix the ventilation at a day care, on what was to be a very hot day, and I'm ok with that. I called Velocity Mechanical Solutions for a quote on the sub pump. Matthew came out and assess my situation he recommended I have a sewer line inspection done as well. (I am so grateful he did ) Ended up that my sewer line in my house (over 60 years old )had completely cracked in half. This was a big job and a very stressful situation for me. For I had no knowledge of what the next step to take was. Matt carefully explained everything fully so I understood what was needed to be done.
