Sump Pump/Pit Repair and Installation

Sump Pump & Sump Pit Repair and Installation

Basement flooding is every homeowner's nightmare. A Sump Pump can protect your home from unexpected heavy rain.

What does a Sump Pump achieve?

Sump Pumps take rain and groundwater out of your home to prevent flooding. The pump resides in a pit or basin found within your basement floor. Water enters your home through weeping tile and ground saturation ending up in the sump basin. When the water level in the pit gets above a set level, your pump will engage, draining the basin.

Where does a Sump Pump drain too?

The pump should drain outside your home, 10-20 feet away, to prevent the water from returning to your home. Avoid draining the water into your residential sewer as it could be overwhelmed with rain accumulation and cause sewage to back up into your home.

Submersible pumps are most common, allowing you to cap the pit preventing items from falling into the hole.

If your area commonly experiences power outages during a storm, we recommend a battery backup option allowing your pump to run anytime your basin is ready to be drained.
